Transfer Week, Last area

Hey how are ya! i changed areas! I am in the zona congreso, i am a zone leader now, my companion is Elder Ortega, he is from Sevilla Spain. He is awesome i can already tell. We are in the area called juncal but we work in the villa 31.=) Its THE city right here where i am at now! its so busy and tons of people. Today i dont have lots of time cause in one hour i have to be in the boca to play soccer with the zone. I am living in a pension with 4 elders. elder parraguez from chile and elder bennett from utah and my companion and I. I left boulogne last night and it was realllly tough. Angel and brian and his whole family cryed and i did too! He gave me a hat that he had used every day and then told me "thanks for helping me know jesus, and for bringing his gospel" The bishop gave me a picture of his family in the temple and gave me a hug (something that the bishop doesnt do) and everyone was really sad, I was too but i am realllllly happy to be here! I am in an area that has the reputation for baptizing the most in the mission. This zone baptized like 23 people last month and is doing great! I am really happy! The mission is the best, I have pictures of the baptism of Pedro Duarte but this computer wont let me send anything. I love you guys i am going to have to finish in a sec cause i am going to have to fill out some money forms for the zone and stuff! I love you i will write in just a sec=) kisses=*

Everything is good here i am great and we have a baptism this weekend! Pretty happy! Pedro was baptized on saturday but his confirmation we couldnt do on sunday because he was really sick and so he will be confirmed on this sunday. Here in this area there is a confirmation pediente also. I hope work is doing good!

heres some of many photos i will send more next week i have to go right now i love you all and tell dad that i love him too!

Weeelllll this week was a good week! I was able to do transfers in my first area of the mission and see how things were doing! The painted and cleaned up alot but the house still had that same smell from when i was there haha not a bad smell just a smell that it has haha. This week we are planning on having another baptism of a man named Pedro that is 19 years old! We have been having really spiritual lessons with him. He cant wait any longer for saturday to come and i cant either haha! Im very thankful for having a new companion because our teachings are really the way that preach my gospel shows us they should be! Our bishop here is really happy with our work and complimented us and says that we have a kind of trust with him that other missionaries have not had! Our ward mission leader is a reciently returned missionary also and so we are going crazy here with the work! I have to go to the doctor i think this week and get like 2 or 3 ingrown toenails taken because they are infected but itll be ok. Next week there are transfers and i dont know if i will be here still or not! I have 3 transfers in this area now and in alllll my mission i have had 3 transfers in every area but i only have one transfer left so i will either be here one more and make it 4 or i will be in another area for a month and a half, i am ok with whatever haha the lord will put me right where i need to be=) I am really enjoying the mission and havent ever regreted coming and so if any of you who are reading this are even thinking about the mission and arent sure just go out and do it! I have loved every moment of it=D! The lord lives and called Joseph smith to restore his church and this is his church. i will not know any better then than i do now that its true. as long as we read our scriptures, specifically the book of mormon and say our prayers and go to church well never be tossed like a ship on the sea without a sail. I love this work and testify that the lord is the head of it all!

60 days left!

This week has been a great week. Weve been working really hard, the president has really liked our work and sent one of his asistents to do visits with us to see what we were doing and how we work! The divisions were great!
We have 2 more people on the 13th of june thatll be baptized Marcela that is 25 and Pedro that is 19. Three of our converts got the priesthood and are passing the sacrament and attended the temple dedication of Cordoba! Hopefully two of them that are of age will be getting the melquisdec priesthood here soon in the next stake conference. I have really been giving alot of myself everyday and my companion has been too. We are coming home beat up everyday and if it werent for verifications in the night with the other areas i think wed be in bed early haha. We also had the opertunity this weekend to teach the 3rd hour in church on combined sunday about missionary work! It turned out really well after the class 5 members approched and were giving refrences and asked if they could do visits with us! I have learned that its really important as a missionary to use your personality among the people and teach with power! We were able to teach about 35 lessons with member this last week and our bishop is working hard too! We sleep hard eat hard and preach even harder! The lord has been blessing us with sooooo many maricles in our area. In the scriptures one can find all the answers, ecspecially in the Book of Mormon. (I have got 3 hard core ingrown toenails too, all of them infected hahaha. But stay calm i am taking under medical control) The wheather here is about 70 degrees in the day and like 60 in the night, its nice.
tomorrow i am going to do divisions with the elder that are in my first area of the mission, its going to be amazing seeing my first area it has almost been a year and a half. Everything here is good today i ate a burger and fries and a pepsi for lunch=D The members are taking really great care of us too! Thanks for all the prayers and support in what ever way you do! I know that there are many of you helping me out in ways that may seem small to you but theyre very big changes down here in my part of the land=) I hope you have a great week!

How goes it,
This week has been very intresting lots of stuff going on! Today we went to bowl with the crew and it was great, weve been working alot with the members here gaining trust and getting refrences and help in the work and its been working out really well. The members here are awesome! The wheather is weird cause its only 70 degrees but with 90% humitity so its like really hot still and stuffy haha.
This week we were able to go to the dedication of the temple of cordoba in our stake center, Juio our convert made it and was amazed! he had bought shirt and tie and shoes and socks and everything, we taught him how to tie a tie and he made it and was very happy and left really content. The dedication was incredible! one felt like they were really in the temple!
I am not sure what else to say but things are good and times a flyin. the bishop of our ward is going to take us out to eat in a resturant that serve milanesas that are hhuuuuuge like as huge as the screen of a computer that is big! a milanesa is like a sandwich made of chicken or meat that is sooo good!
weve been finding soo many people that we dont have time to visit them all, i already have from today till thursday with every hour filled with apptments with people! and the mission is really happy with out area! The lord has been blessing us with many maricles here in boulogne! i love this area i hope i die here! ( being my last area im saying) hahaha next week we have a posible baptism of a girl named victoria from paraguay and then in 3 weeks a man named pedro and another one named fabian! Hope all is well up there and that you have a good week!

Everything is cool here, The whether is getting better, and the time is flying by faster than id like. This last weekend we had a baptism of a 13 year old kid named Brian Duarte. his brother Angel, we baptized last month so he was able baptize his brother and it was a very spiritual expirience. This week we have planned 2 more baptism one for Julio Garcia and the other for Victoria Godoy, this saturday at 6:30. My companion is new so he was able to have his first baptism and was sooo happy! For those of you who dont know he is from Ecuador and his name is Elder Zambrano. The baptism that were having are all thanks to The Book of Mormon. The Mission is pretty sweet, but it goes alittle fast. I have never regreted coming. I have had the chance to work with and learn from a few elders in the district and have learned alot from them. Its wierd how the mission is changing and it is all new people and my friends from the begining have gone home already. Boulogne (The name of our area) has been a real blessing for me and a great learning experince. Weve also been having alot of fun, today we played an awesome game of soccer and then went for icecream after. the icecream i bought was called "cucurucha grido" but i asked for a "cucaracha Grido" and everyone including the lady working started to laugh and i did too. i asked for a cockroach icecream haha. i am not struggling with spanish too much but sometime i have my moments haha. All is well here i hope you all have a great week and see you next fall, hahah thats a knee slapper.

20 Months

Hows yall doing? everything is good here. its taking me forever to write in english! haha. Today Elder Garcia de España, Elder Patey de Utah, Elder Edmonds de Utah, Elder Ramirez de Chile, Elder Zambrano de Ecuador y yo de Utah went ice skating, bowling, played pool, and at a burger with fries and a drink. Its been a great day. During the week all the members are wanting to feed us ( its a good sign) but there isnt enough room for everyone so they are giving us dinner now! And the give really good food! wow, i had lost like 6 kilos and weve been working hard and they think i am skinny and are trying to fatten me up, haha its working. haha. We cleaned the pension this morning. livin in style now. Being a district leader is fun but sometimes i dont want to be a leader cause the only thing that is important is the plack that says "Elder" the calling! i like it though it is fun. Happy to hear that brother Carson got his patriarcal Blessing, its a true testimony strengthener no? read it daily.
I was laughing so hard today cause we went ice skating and we all ate ice pretty bad ahhahahahaha. it was like 30 minutes of pain, how much we were able to take ahaha. oh soo funny but the only thing is was thinking about was when cole hit his head and was hurting bad and i was hoping no one would get hurt to that degree.
Now in my mission its awesome to teach and talk to people cause i am at that point were i am very able to control the discussion and teach the doctorine. The most important thing is the Testimony though. I am learning that more being with Elder Zambrano. Our area is having alot of success we just finished the week with 31 lessons with member and hoping for 2 baptisms before the month ends! Brain and Omar.
The mission is alot better than id ever thought itd be. Serving a mission has been one of my best dicisions in life. I hope you all have a good week. I learned in my last interview with President i asked him how i could use the litte time i had left to the best, he said seek the guidance of the lord and follow it, dont ever question it cause its coming from God. Just do it!
I will never forget in every situation like it says in Alma 37:37 to seek the guidance of the lord and he will guide me.
Elder Wikstrom
will someone roll me a dew please?
ON the ice

This week has been a great week. training is awesome. but My comp knows more than me so he is teaching me! Hes a great missionary and came ready to work. We were talking to alot of people this week its nice to talk to people about the gospel i always feel happy just talking about the gospel with others, Lots of people are nice and accept the teaching well, the trick in the mission field is helping the people keep thier commitments, that is the real goal so they grow in faith, repent be baptized and recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost, and make it to the temple, and keep going, enduring to the end. I was just reciently informed that one of my converts named Hector Eduardo Lobos from Jose C Paz died on the 26th of march. I was told that during his time in the Hospital he and his wife read the Book of Mormon together! I was really sad at first and am sad but also i know that he had his priorities straight with God, I know like President Dieter F Uchtdorf said that God loves everyone of us perfectly fully and eternally. I know that God recieved this man with lots of joy and love, and that he is now in the rest of the lord. This man had to go through alot to come unto Christ. Before he didnt want anything with the missionaries, for alot of time, his wife was a member already before they were married and the kids were baptized the last year i think, but he had never wanted it and said that he was even bothered when the missionaries would say to him, " we love you Brother Lobos" because he was like how do you say that with out knowing me? After he got sick with leukemia ( a blood cancer) and learned alot about what was really important and what God wanted for him. The Lord had to humble him and he recognized the things that were really important and was baptized immediately, he never missed a day of church unless he was in the hospital even the days when he fainted in church. He had a dream a The lord saving him from a endless pit of darkness. He became converted to the gospel truthfully, recieved the melquiesdec priesthood and was a great husband, father and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Thanks to Jesus Christ and his Atoneing Sacrafice and sacred ordinances we can change the "HE WAS" a great....... to "HE IS" a great......
Even though life has its difficulties we need to recognize that there is a God that has a Perfect Full and Eternal Love for each and everyone of us. greater than our own and greater than we think. I will never doubt the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that he lives and His Prophet is Thomas S Monson. The Lord through Joseph Smith Restored the Church in all its truthfullness, authority, and Sacred Salving Ordinaces. I Know families can be together for ever, that is part of Eternal Life. this isnt the end, i remember my last day in church in Jose C Paz Hermano Lobos wanted me to pass by in the night but i couldnt, we went to the despedida in san fernando, he started to cry and told me that if he didnt see me again here then hed see me up in heaven, he asked me Right? i assured him with teary eyes too that YES! I know hes in the rest of the Lord and that even though every sunday he went to church and suffered that i learned that he understood that its more important his spiritual state than his physical state, when he had control over it. God is real. and lives as well as his son Jesus Christ who atoned for all of us. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Elder Wikstrom.
The conversion comes line upon line; precept upon precept.
What a great Conference we had also=)
I Love the Prophet, his counselers, the 12 apostles and all the other General Authorities and I sustain them fully!

I learned so much in the mission and have enjoyed soooo much my areas, i would love to visit san pedro and Jose C Paz again. i miss those two areas really bad! I know i am here for a reason i have seen many blessings for being humble and i think that the point of life is to learn obedience to God through humility and the other christlike attributes so that he can build us into something great! I love the mission and i honestly couldnt imagine life without it, its awesome i miss you guys to and in like 4 months its going to be a great party when i come home! but in the mean time the mission is 100 percent my focus i know that the lord is watching over you guys at home! One of Brady's old companions (Elder Jones) was heading home. He had a twin in another mission in Argentina. The twin flew to Bradys mission and the two twins got to spend a day together site seeing before they came home. Matias Maru was allowed to take them around. He got this picture at the mission home and Brady happened to be there because he was there waiting for his new companion that he would be training.
