Hey Mom how goes it?
San Pedro is the best area around. The members are soo awesome. Lalo is the best mission leader in the world. He does such a great job at his calling and I love spending time with him! He is so awesome. Pablo was teaching me the guitar too, good songs, and his wife is a really great cook! We also had to get a bike fixed and he did it for free for us too. My companion ripped his handlebars off the bike...don't ask how..we don't know either. hahahaha. That is pretty cool that I am getting lots of friend requests on facebook. The people here are all pretty cool. Matias Maru is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome, he is an English professor so he knows English completely. We spend a lot of time with him. He would be someone I want to come back and visit already! He is awesome and so is the Krenz family! The area is really beautiful. the area I serve in is poor and dirt roads, and farms. It's dangerous in the night, the members say, but nothin ever happens. There are tons of kids that call our names, like ELDERS!, that wave to us and some kids ask for our money, that we don't have, pero bueno. We have English classes every Wednesday at 7. My companion teaches. He does a good job. Lalo is one of the students there, and it's so fun! Every Friday we play soccer or ping pong for young mens. The president is a new convert so he is still learning how to do things like young mens.
Elder Wild had his grandpa pass away this week on like Wednesday, so it was a bad week for him but he hold himself together really well. He said it was his worst week on the mission. He got to call home and talk to his parents, and went to Matias house for comfort that night. I did the district calls in the night and he was sitting by me and said I did a good job. He is the district leader and needs to do them, but he didn't feel like doing them that night, so I did. It is starting to get a tad bit cooler here but tons of mosquitoes still! We take cold showers in the morning and man it is cold.
In the night we don't have time to make dinner. If we eat in the night it's like chocolate milk or milk with a bag of cookies and we eat while we plan and stuff. The only time I eat meals is at lunch. Doing fasts, though, aren't hard because we go 24 a lot without food, from lunch to lunch. I had my first asado in Argentina on Saturday, it is like a bbq. We had goat, with pig, soooooooooooooo good, cooked crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, tons of flavor, but the meat down here still has some hairs on the skin. Like on the chicken and goat and stuff, sometimes there are little hairs left over from skinning the animal, but it's ok. The asado was sooooooo good!
Love you mom and dad
