Things here are good. I got put with another companion from Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Elder Thurgood. He is awesome cause he likes hunting and country and all the same stuff and we get along great. We have transfers this next Monday so I might be leaving the area but who knows? I don't know what I want. haha. This week has been a really tough week. We dropped all of our investigators because they weren't getting anywhere and so we will leave them for future Elders. We are trying to find more people to teach but this week was a long week of what seems like a waste of time. We worked but we weren't able to find any members to help us and so we have been feeling really tired at the end of each day of working but not seeing any fruits of the work yet. We have hopes that this week we will explode with investigators and hopefully those who will progress and be baptized. In my area we have only Argentine people (usually in the city there are lots of Peruvians and Paraguayos and Bolivians and others but the Argentines are tough cause they have a lot of Italian in them, haha.)
I feel like we are like Alma in the city before he went back and met with Amulek when he was rejected by all the city and was told by the Lord to go back and we are able to see all the miracles that happened there with them. I hope this week will be like that when we go back to see miracles according to our work and diligence. Today I was able to strengthen my testimony by reading "Manual 2" it's a church manual and it helped me to realize that really this is a house of order (the Church) . If we follow things the way the Lord puts them then things work out a lot better cause I have realized I have been in other wards when the people don't do their calling and someone has to make up for it and things don't flow as good, When I am home I will be sure to always magnify my calling and give my all to the Lord, President Henry B Eyring says that this is the secret to happiness!
Have a great week and enjoy the last week of summer break.
Elder Wikstrom
