Heey there,
This week was crazy! We did divisions this week from far away. I went to the capital of Buenos Aires to work in a villa called Villa Soldati! It was my first time entering a Villa. There are a lot of them in the capital of Buenos Aires but I have always been outside of the capital. I learned a lot. To get into the villa we cross a freeway and jump some barriers and then crawl through a fence hole and then your in. It's a fun experience .
Yesterday I wasn't able to email you guys cause we went to the temple as a mission! The temple here is so beautiful! Afterwards we were running around everywhere trying to find where we could catch the bus back home so we didn't make it back home till 10 last night. I am pretty sure that this will be my last week here in San Pedro. I have met my time here. I am pretty sure I'll be leaving to another area but we'll never know till Monday night so I will let you all know next Tuesday if I get transferred.
The pictures you guys sent me are awesome! So many of you look so different and have changed a lot! but that is ok, time is going too fast and I feel like there isn't enough time in a day anymore to get things done. speaking about time I have gotta go. We need to go make some lunch so we can eat and get to work at 3, so on Tuesday I will send you all a message so you know what's up. haha sorry for the small email but I gotta go!
see ya!

Heeey Buddy
How you all doing? Things here are cold, and wet right now. Right now we are working with getting the Rodriguez family married. Things with that are still going good, they want to get married now they just have to go and get a date. I hope I will be able to be here when they get married. I am pretty sure I will be going to another area in like 2 weeks. I don't want to go but I have been here awhile now in San Pedro. I Love being able to help this family progress to marriage and then the dad to baptism. I have been able to be here a lot to see them be blessed by the Lord as they progress in the pathway of obeying Him and trusting in Him. Being on the outside of things and looking in I can see some of the blessings that the Lord gives to this family for trusting in Him and obeying Him. It's sometimes hard to recognize our own blessings and answers to our prayers, but they are there and I testify to that! I have seen the Lord bless the crap out of this family (maybe crap isn't the right word for this but I don't know how else to explain it, haha) I think to myself, I don't remember receiving an answer to this prayer or that, or I don't notice any difference in this or that, but then I look through my Journal and see the things that I have put, what I had been through and how I made it through those difficult situations and think again that the Lord really is attentive to us and our problems and helps us. Only those who really seek guidance and help from Him will know how to receive it and recognize the Lord's answers. The Lord works in mysterious ways, but with His wisdom! He knows what's going on. He's on the outside looking in on us. He sees what's ahead and what we've passed, and where we are and why we're here, the only difference is that where He can see isn't where I can see. For this reason I should trust Him, obey Him with exactness and look unto Him for guidance in prayer and scripture and church. He leads the way, and he made it possible to follow. Just remember, when you don't understand why things happen, He does. Trust Him, He's showing you the way. If we take our own way we won't make it, if we take the Lord's way, even though it might be rough, we'll make it and be so grateful. The coals that go through the most pressure and fire turn out to be the strongest and most pretty diamond, think about it. The Lord loves us and watches over us. I love you guys ¡Espero que les vaya muy bien y que disfruten los momentos de dificultades , busca la ayuda del Señor y tu Dios, les ayudará!=D Let the Lord teach you.

9 Months on his mission

¡Hola! ¿como andan?

Hey there amigos, ¿Todo bien allá? Todo bien acá. This week was good, we traveled a lot this week and lost a lot of time to work in our area. I was able to talk to my family and grandparents yesterday that was pretty sweet stuff! I had trouble with some of my English, but I did before I left too, haha. I am doing great, I never thought a mission was so fun. Once you learn to love and serve the people, it's just great from then on and time will fly by. Time is going too fast though! I hope you all are doing great and that things are going for ya.
We had some meetings that were really awesome this week, we learned better how to teach with analogy, that wasn't really the subject but that was something I pulled out of it. Teaching at the same level that the person you're teaching is at. I pulled some great things outta that. I always find something new and great in Preach My Gospel too!
One of the 70 came down and was playing as a missionary, he was teaching the commandment of tithing, he said to someone in role play: You have plenty of material items right?, (the guy answered, yes) (then the 70 said) If something terrible had happened to your child, and they needed surgery right then but you didn't have money and there was no other support system, would you sell whatever you had to get the money so your kid could get that surgery? (and the guy was like well of course!) so he asked, Why? and the guys was like cause I love my child! and then the next question he asked was, so why do we obey the commandment of tithing that the Lord has given us? I had remembered the scripture in John 14:15 which says, (The Lord speaking) "If you love me, obey my commandments." and it hit my hard like, whoa, we do these things simply cause we love the Lord, no matter what it takes we should do everything in our power to obey the Lord! He will bless you! I just thought about it and I loved it so I shared it! and yup that's about it. Have a good week see ya later man!

Mother's Day

I went to a lot of effort and expense so we could put Brady on the big T.V. so we could all see him during Skype. I got a HDMI converter for my iPad. It worked, as far as putting him on the screen, but the sound was distorted. We eventually unplugged it from HDMI and just used the iPad. It was really good to see him. Thanks to Matias Maru for letting him use their computer to Skype with us.

I asked Brady to smile, this is what he did.

 Then Matias's daughter helped out

Then Brady was laughing so I got this one

He was having a hard time hearing us, so they got some headphones out (they didn't last long)

I look forward to Skype days. He was happy and doing well. That's what I want to see. I told him that time was going by quickly for us, and I asked if it was going quickly for him too...he said, "too fast". I said, well, I DO want you to come home. He laughed.

Heeeey Buddy =D

Seems like everyone is doing good and things are moving along well. It's getting colder down here. I can see my breath some days now. I had to bust out the sweaters, but it's a lot better than being hot. Right not we are working hard with the ward mission leader here in getting those members active in mission work. The bishop here will be ordering Preach My Gospel for the leaders and members of the church so that they can start reading it and finding out how they can better participate in la obra misional. It's really interesting down here understanding the majority of what the people are saying. At first when you get here and until you learn the language mas o menos, it sounds like everyone is just like mumbling and somehow people understand them, but now I can make out what they want to say. I still have lots of practice to do but it's really fun to be able to understand the people and talk to them, especially when you get to sit down with someone and teach them the lessons and talk to them. Today I was reading in Predicad Mi Evangelio in the section of helping people keep their commitments that we give them. Commitments are invitations to repent and live the teachings of Christ and bring them closer to Him. Something really interesting that I thought about is that for us as missionaries to have power in what we teach and to be receptive to the spirit at all times, we also need to keep our commitments the Lord has given us. Signing up to be a missionary also means that you signed up to live like a missionary. We are supposed to obey the Lord in ALL things, but with exactness. We need to humble ourselves and work with the Lord, because this is His field, we're just working in it, and we have to do it the way he wants to have success. If we are keeping our commitments (commandments, rules, living the gospel) from the Lord, then the people we teach will be more receptive and willing to keep the commitments that we give them because our teachings will have power from the spirit because of our exact obedience. When we bear testimony and the spirit is felt, it's not because of our use of words or what we said, but it's the conversion of our heart in what we say. To become converted to the Lord takes work, hard work. It's not easy but it's more than worth it! If we are exactly obedient and work the way the Lord wants, we will have His spirit to be with us, and if we have His spirit with us, the people will hear and understand the message of the gospel and the importance and urgency of it. It's important that we're obedient, we'll never be able to convert someone beyond our own conversion. Become converted to Him even more by obeying Him with exactness in all things, the love you feel from Him will be incredible! I myself know the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, lives! He loves us! I want to be completely converted unto Him by my strict obedience to the mission rules and all his commandments. I want to reach my potential and always have the spirit with me.
This week I saw two Mormon message that were incredible. One is called "Because of Him", and the other is a bible video with Elder Holland going boss and talking about the atonement of Jesus Christ and how it relates to missionary work. It talks about when you wonder why things are so hard, don't worry the Savior did too. We just need to trust the Lord and move forward. He's got a hold of you and will guide you if you obey Him and trust in His power with your faith. When He was suffering the atonement He asked to God if he'd take this bitter cup away. He didn't take the pain away because it was necessary to accomplish the atonement and many more things, but He sent an angel to comfort Him. We, too, can receive the angel of comfort in times of sorrow and weakness, when it's too hard for us to move forward. The Savior thought it was hard, it was hard for him, but He endured it and accomplished  His purpose on earth. If we will trust God and endure to the end, we'll be alright, we will make it. Just remember when you think it's too hard, so did the Savior. We'll never suffer like Him, but we will suffer because we are involved in the same work as He is, the salvation of souls. Just watch the videos and what I am saying will make more sense.
I love ya guys,
